Immunizations

Current immunizations are required for school attendance by Arizona State Law A.R.S. 15-872.  If your child has not received the necessary inoculations, please contact your primary health care provider or the school nurse for a list of free immunization sites.  If your child has recently received immunizations, please bring his/her current shot record to the school nurse.  A copy of your child’s shot record will be made and the original record will be returned to you.  Any student found to be without adequate immunizations will be excluded from school immediately until his/her immunizations are current.

Effective 2010-2011 school year, students in  6th, 7th and 8th grades are required to have proof of receiving the Varicella (chickenpox) shot OR a history of having had the Varicella (chickenpox) disease.

Effective September 1, 2008 students entering the 6th grade will be required to have two new vaccines.  They will need to have one dose of the Meningococcal vaccine upon turning 11 years old.  They will also need to have the Tdap if it’s been more than 5 years since their last tetanus/diphtheria containing vaccine.
