The new strategic plan for Litchfield Elementary School District will guide our next five years of continuous improvement. The steering committee is grateful for the input provided by students, employees, and parents to date. The steering committee has analyzed all the stakeholder input and compiled the most common themes across all stakeholder groups for your review and feedback.
We need your help once again. Please take a few minutes to review 4 areas within the plan and select the most important ideas. There is also an opportunity to provide comments.
Here’s the link to access the survey: Litchfield Elementary School District #79 – Strategic Plan Survey.
The survey remains open through February 23rd.
Thanks for participating in the survey and adding your voice to this very important process as we look forward the future!

The Litchfield Elementary School District Governing Board has partnered with Studer Education℠ to facilitate the creation of a District Strategic Plan in order to make informed decisions about where we are going, and the actions needed to make progress and measure success.
One of the most important and valuable components of the process is the practice of engaging stakeholders to set priorities and align resources in support of shared goals resulting in district-wide long term goals and overarching strategies for continuous improvement. In short, this process will define success in the next three to five years, and guide how we will get there.
Our Strategic Planning and Focus Group process is being facilitated by our consultants, Studer Education.
Engaging Stakeholders in Focus Groups
Our process will include an opportunity for stakeholders - students, staff, parents and community members, to come together in Focus Groups to give feedback and answer questions like,
What will success look like?
What are our priorities?
What are our strategic initiatives?
What are our core values or beliefs?
The Focus Groups occurred on January 23rd and 24th, 2019.
Engaging Stakeholders in a Survey Process
Employee Engagement, Parent Engagement, and Student Engagement surveys occurred January 21st through February 1st, 2019. Stakeholders had an opportunity to share their feedback regarding the process. Feedback was sought in the areas of Core Values, Indicators of Success, Areas of Strength, and Opportunities for Improvement.
As of 2/14/19, 2,168 stakeholders (parents, students, community members and staff) have participated in surveys and focus group discussions.
