Regular meetings of the Litchfield Elementary School District Governing Board are held at 6:00PM in the Cafeteria at Litchfield Elementary School, 255 E. Wigwam Blvd., Litchfield Park on the second Tuesday of each month.
At least 24 hours before a Governing Board meeting, a public notice and agenda are posted at the administrative offices and on the District website.
All Governing Board meetings, except Executive Sessions, are open to the public. Under Arizona law, the Governing Board may call an Executive Session to discuss personnel matters; meet and confer items (negotiations); the purchase or lease of real property; and legal matters with attorneys, and litigation.
The public is invited to address the Governing Board on any subject. Requests to speak to the Governing Board may be made by filling out the comment form, available in the Board Room prior to each meeting.
The Governing Board welcomes your attendance and appreciates your interest in Litchfield Elementary School District students. Informed and involved community members who support education will help the Litchfield Elementary School District in preparing young people for the workplace.
Study sessions are held as needed for the purpose of studying one or more specific issues in depth. No action is taken during a study session. The public is invited to attend. Notification of study sessions is posted at all sites, and on the District’s website.
Executive sessions are occasionally scheduled to handle specific Board business matters, which include personnel, legal matters and property purchases. An executive session is closed to the public, but any official action on executive session items is taken during regular Board meetings.
