Mission Statement

Scott Libby and Verrado Elementary Libraries are committed to ensuring that students acquire a lifelong interest in reading, develop an appreciation of literature, and effectively access, evaluate, use, and communicate information.

locate the best sources--print and online
find the right book in your AR reading range
do an online search
learn how to evaluate your print and online information sources

Library Policies/Procedures

Students returning books on time are allowed to continue checking out three books. Kinders and beginning first graders check out one book at a time. First graders begin checking out 3 books in September.
Books are due back to the library on their next library day.
Students are expected to pay for the replacement of lost and/or damaged books. They will be limited to checking out one book until the book is returned or paid for.
Internet access is under teacher direction and supervision only and for educational purposes only. No free surfing allowed.
Parents are welcome to check out books too! So, Parents, come on in and we'll set up an account for you.
