Scott Libby and Verrado Elementary Libraries are committed to ensuring that students acquire a lifelong interest in reading, develop an appreciation of literature, and effectively access, evaluate, use, and communicate information.
We can help YOU--
- with research advice
- decide on a good topic idea
- locate the best sources--print and online
- find the right book in your AR reading range
- do an online search
- learn how to evaluate your print and online information sources
Library Policies/Procedures
- Students returning books on time are allowed to continue checking out three books. Kinders and beginning first graders check out one book at a time. First graders begin checking out 3 books in September.
- Books are due back to the library on their next library day.
- Students are expected to pay for the replacement of lost and/or damaged books. They will be limited to checking out one book until the book is returned or paid for.
- Internet access is under teacher direction and supervision only and for educational purposes only. No free surfing allowed.
- Parents are welcome to check out books too! So, Parents, come on in and we'll set up an account for you.
