Suggested Supply Lists

L. Thomas Heck Middle School
Grade Level Supply Lists
Fall of 2019

These are lists of recommended supplies. If purchasing these supplies will pose a financial hardship on your family, we will do everything we can to make sure that every student has what they need. Mrs. Gerbasi, our school nurse, has spare backpacks and school supplies for anyone who asks for them.

Locks for 6th grade lockers will be available at open house and during the first week of school for $5.  These are color-coded and keyed for a master key, therefore please do not buy a lock elsewhere and bring it for use on a school locker.  Students will be able to take their lock at the end of their 8th grade year if they wish.

Gym Clothes:  All students in P.E. classes will be required to "dress out" in appropriate gym clothes.  This should consist of workout clothes that comply with the school dress code, along with close-toed shoes intended for indoor athletic use.  Do not bring cleated shoes or sandals.

(Note: Our classrooms for students with special needs are always grateful for donations, including disinfectant wipes, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, healthy snack foods, mixes/ingredients for simple cooking, etc.  If you would like to donate these items, you can drop them off in the office directed to Mrs. Cottle's and Mrs. Mackey's classrooms)
